Exciting Opportunity for a Seasoned Business Development Manager Within the Space Sector
Are you ready to take on a new, senior role in the space industry? EVONA are currently working with a leading company, specialising in innovative electronic equipment for satellite testing and operations. Working with prominent European space companies, they are currently making a significant impact on spacecraft assembly, integration, test, and operations.
They are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead their sales team and bridge the gap between engineering and sales to ensure all commercial and marketing activities align with the focus of the engineering roadmap. As a core member of their small team, you will be instrumental in driving the growth and success in the space industry.
Responsibilities:
- Craft and implement the business development and sales strategy within the European and non-EU space industry.
- Cultivate strong relationships with existing clients and seek out new customers, partners, and opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with company Management to develop and refine business plans.
- Represent our company at meetings, conferences, and trade shows to showcase our innovative solutions.
- Lead proposal preparation and coordinate bid/no-bid meetings.
- Maintain accurate records in our CRM system and regularly report on the sales pipeline.
- Engage in technical and contract negotiation meetings and conduct competitor analysis.
- Drive marketing initiatives and organize participation in trade shows.
Requirements:
- A background in Aerospace or Electrical Engineering AND a Business orientation.
- At least 5 years of experience within space industry.
- Proficiency in selling technical solutions and products..
- The ability to build strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
- An autonomous and proactive working style with a strategic mindset to achieve short-term goals.
- Willingness to travel within Europe and further afield.
